Bluetooth microphone sounds poor to people I call
I have a 2008 4.2 w/navigation (and Alpine). Phone pairs, no problem and I have no trouble hearing incoming calls. But everyone (as in all) say they can barely make out what I am saying. I hear there was Jaguar service bulletin to replace the roof console mic with an external mic for better sound. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

1. I turn on car, it pairs with phone.
2. I can hear everyone, my voice sounds like crap.
3. Tried "forgetting " phone, then re-pairing.
4. I still sound like crap.
5. But... my Android phone now has a "disconnect" option. Which I selected.
6. Then selected "connect".
7. The force was with me (good sound!)
But I'll check out your link as I'm thinking of installing JagDroid. So, double thanks!

Your issue may be that your phone is using the mic in your phone, not the one in the car.
This will be an issue with your phone not the s-type.
Try tapping the roof mic when on a call and ask if the other person can hear you tapping.
Then try the same for the mic in the phone.
This should work out what mic is in use.
