Default Brake Fluid Replacement Interval

The service manual for my 2004 S-type states that the brake fluid should be "renewed" (I'm assuming that means the same as "replaced") every two years. That change interval seems excessive to me based on other vehicles that I've had (granted I've never had a Jaguar before!). Looking for advice as to whether members of this forum think the interval is too frequent or whether or not there a technical reason for changing the fluid this often.

I have a 2005 STR and have flushed the brakes once in 60K miles. I go by how dirty the fluid is. I use DOT 4 brake fluid.
