Default brake lights stay on after replacing brake booster

I'm hoping someone can advise, we just replaced the brake booster on my 2000 Jaguar S-Type 4.0 and now the brake lights stay on.

It seems the brake peddle leaver is not depressing the brake light switch
under the dashboard in the peddle box ,
Maybe the switch is knoked aside or the pedal is not returning completely home.
Or the switch may just need adjusting.

Switch looks like this

Try this to reset the brake light switch , remove the switch from the car and pull the press pin out and it should extend a bit further ,
then refit it to the car and press the brake a few times to re set it's travel !
This is an x type fix but can't imagine thay would be mutch differant !

Also did you remove the code for it to return or could be code
For the previous switch ?
