Broken HID lights
Unfortunetly the *******s know this is a problem with the 03 STR but will not do a recal on them. It is a safety issue. But they make a fortune on the repair because from what I have read its a little plastic piece that keeps breaking.
These links point to different solutions:

You can also block the movement of the headlight internals with the plastic hose which is on top of the assembly by fitting it inside.
I repaired mine with the aluminium block, they were fixed position unitl now but recently Jag have cleared the error fault on the motors and it works perfect.

Thanks so much for the info. I'm definitely going to give it a shot. I did find on another forum a guy who actually disassembled the light and then glued and wired the plastic bits together that had broken. He's been trouble free for 15k miles.

Thanks Again. $3 in parts, twenty minutes labor, $2000 saved. And the car just passed NJ inspection.
I used nylon instead of brass bolts, easier tocut to lengthand tapped the holeso that I could properly thread the bolt into the unit. Also used a nut to tighten everything down.

Same problem here. The little ball was broken off of the leveling slide. I took the lens off of the assembly and made a new piece out of nylon exactly like the old one. Everything works just like stock except I'm sure it will last way longer!! Headlights are not covered by the SE warranty. I called Jaguar.

Does anyone know where I could get a Factory Service Manual for problems like these? Mine aren't broken but could use some adjusting.
