A couple of days ago my a/c started making a hissing sound and not much cold air- is the this the DCCV failure I've read about here? Or is the compressor going or is it just a leak of the ac system and needs a recharge? Its going into my indy next week-just thought I'd get some opinions-thanks Paul

 

It could be any of the above, but a hissing HVAC system typically indicates a refrigerant leak. The question is where. Can you isolate the hissing sound standing over the engine bay with the hood open and the engine running?
