Question Cable and hose loose (video)

I started today to clean all the contacts, to check fuses, I cleaned parking sensor circuits than I cleaned the contacts on the headlight and the CD magazine just make sure they are ok.
I added distilled water in the battery to max.
I found a loose cable with white plug which then broke (jack) and a hose not sure what role does. I made two videos:
Any help is welcome and thanks in advance.

Cable and hose loose 2 (video) - YouTube

The above video shows the electric connection used for shipping purposes only. It is NOT needed any longer.

Note the white 90 degree elbow near the negative battery terminal pointing down, insert black hose into the battery vent (white 90 degree elbow).

Thanks Seth.

Way to much reading here, not enough time spent on my real job if you ask Joyce.
