Default CATS or Adaptive damping and jacking an STR

I was told by a Jaguar tech today that turning on the car's ignition (engaging the suspension module) while the car is up on all four corners can damage the CATS struts. Another way to hurt them is to smack them hard in a dip or bump at speed. T/F?

Why would you do those anyway (to any car)?

The one about the suspension module does not appear to be about any S-Type. Does this guy know anything about our cars?

Short answer; No. He's wrong.

I am at 125K miles on my original CATS struts.
