Not sure if its the same for the 2000 "S", but the 2003 CATS module is in the trunk (plain sight) on the left side secured on the wall parallel to the bumper. You'll need to perform a hard re-set of the ECU following its diconnection, or you'll earn a CATS Fault light on the dash and message display.
