Thanks for your response Brutal, I have been reading everything I can get my hands on about the car, Jaguar, the cars, their typical problems and fixes. Even called in to a radio talk show only to be chastised for buying a Jaguar in the first place. No matter, As I've stated before, I've made the commitment to "work" through this. You come highly recommended and I trust the opinions of the Forum members (at least most of them). I would like you to look at it and give me your evaluation of the transmission problem as well as the over-all condition of the car and how best to proceed. What's the best way to make sure you see it when I bring it in. email removed There's no hurry as the car is parked in my garage and not being driven until this is resolved. In the 30-40 miles driven, the transmission light has not reappeared. The lurching (2nd to 1st gear) has only happened once since the last place drained and refilled the transmission fluid. The clunking in reverse has also only happened once and I would consider almost normal if it was anything but a Jaguar. There's still something going on but it shifts fine other than when stopping and backing. I would send you a PM but I don't know how to do it. Thanks again for your time.

I've deleted the email from your post and PM'd it to Brutal.
It might be mutually advantageous to meet somewhere other than Momentum, just a thought.
