Default Changed SC Belt, now pulley squeaks?

During winter I'm pretty sure my sc belt was squeaking when cold.
So without replacing the pulleys i just replaced the sc belt with the old style belt from ebay ContiTech 8PK1322.
Now there is significantly more squeak in during the morning startup.

Other than the cold start squeak is there a reason to replace those pulleys?

Car has 85k and is an 03 STR.

The fix from Jaguar is to upgrade to a belt that is ribbed on both sides. This will require several pulleys to be changed also. I had it done under warranty on my 2005 STR. I have posted the part numbers for everything they changed. You can find the post with a search of this forum. I don’t know the cost but it looked expensive and I was glad they fixed it while the car was still covered!!

The new belt may be exerting more tension than the older already worn belt on an already warn tensioner pulley. Upgrade to revised tensioner pulley (Ford carries it for approx. $50).

Do you have a part number?

Seems like the same issue for me since I just changed the pulley...

The squeaking is not from a bad pulley. It's from belt slip when cold. If you can live with it it won't hurt anything and it usually goes away after the engine warms up a bit. Other wise you need to replace all the things Jaguar did in their TSB.

Thanks...

My credit union offers a 36k/3 year powertrain extended service contract for $1100...First, I wonder if a squeaking belt would even be covered / would they follow the TSB...Second, I need the shop to turn a blind eye to the aftermarket S/C pulley...
