How can we get the calipars compressed? Tried using c clamp but seemed like I was forcing it too much.

Again we need to know the year and the model. Massively different brakes on a S Type R compare to a 6 cylinder or Diesel!!

If it's the rear brakes, the pistons screw back into the caliper.
