aelim, sounds like to me that your blower motor control module has failed. That or you have a wiring issue on the brown/red wire leaving the blower motor. But, odds are, unless you have done some wiring modifications lately, your problem is going to lie in the module. Before plugging in a new module, do a continuity check from the brown/red wire to ground with the module unplugged. It is possible that pin 4 of the module (coming from the blower and ultimately gets tied to ground via the module) is shorted to pin 5 (ground connection). Since they are side by side, that is the most likely place for a short outside of the module. Inside the module you have an electronic part that regulates the current flow (therefore speed) and when they fail, they tend to fail as a short.

If you need me to explain a bit more, let me know. Because temperature is maintained in the car, I doubt it is anything else.

aelim, looking inside the JTIS, the directions for pulling out the module are hard to put into words here as they are mainly showing pictures and saying "remove this bolt". In short, you are needing to pull out the blower motor and the PCM. Then, up above both of those, you will see a long and slender control module with a 5 wire plug attached to it (points up and down from what I can tell). That is the blower motor control module. Wish I could give you a bit more clarity to this, but without your car in front of me, the JTIS isn't making a lot of sense. Hopefully someone else can slide by and give you better guidance.

aelim, you will need to open up the JTIS and look for section 412-04:Control Components under the electrical section. Inside of here, you will need to go to the "Removal and Installation" section. Under there, you will find the "Blower Motor Resistor (82.20.26)". That will give you your step by step instructions on how to access the blower motor resistor complex.
