The DCCV and the module problems have nothing to do with the display.
Sorry I don't have any suggestions as I have never seen a non-nav car lose the display.

In fact I have never seen an STR without NAV?

Is everything else working?

I was just an article I saw online that stated that if the heater control valve became faulty it could send the wrong voltage to the climate control module and damage it my car is an early s type r where the natnav was optional eg my car has no satnav no premium sound but has phone and electric sun roof later model strs came with satnav as standard equipment I have seen a few other early strs that also did not have the satnav as standard equipment hope fully mine is just a faulty display

Yes that is correct but it does not affect the display. You can set it to whatever temperature you need but if the module is damaged you won't get what you want.

Have you looked at the jaguar climate control place?

DIY: Diagnose It Yourself - JaguarClimateControl.com

Might be worth contacting them. As I said display problems on non-nav cars is just not reported. Many Nav screens have gone blank.
