Default Conversion of HID to LED

It's no secret that I loathe the HID system on my car. Some folks on another forum needed MUCH better lighting on their vintage cars and have gone with LED. Well one of them has also commented that these LEDs are much better than the HIDs on his BMW 2005 seven series.

Today I found this:

Amazon Amazon

I haven't found all that much about SNGL as yet but it looks like these are designed to fit the same socket which would still make these a total PITA to service but perhaps the back pieces to these bulbs are easier to attach ... or not ... Looks like this would then go to just 12 volts and the rest of the HID system would be scrapped. In reading the description these have an electric cooling fan, not encouraged by that! Something else to fail. But there are others out there that do not utilize fans.

Better light output and much longer life.

Anyone else know much about this?

I too would be interested if I could find where I could buy them in Europe.

Even if this can work it might not be legal there or here for that matter.
