Default Coolant expansion tank replaced; bleeding question please

2005 Jaguar S-type V6

The replacement of the expansion tank went much smoother than I thought.... if fact it took no time at all and was down right easy.

I only syphoned the coolant out of the expansion tank, not the entire system.

I just want to make sure I bleed the air out of the system correctly now.

I am under the assumption that my car has only one bleed valve which sits on top of the expansion tank.

Am I suppose to loosen that valve, then pour in my dex-cool/distilled water until it starts to flow from this bleed valve?

At what part of the process do I start the car, get it up to temperature and turn on the climate control to full heat?

Once all air is bled out, how tight do I tighten the air bleed valve on the expansion tank?

thanks in advance...

Don't make it too tight in case you damage it just snug it up.
I don't think it matters much if it is open or not when filling initially, I fill up and start the engine with the cap open it will likely need a top up at that point, then crack the bleeder until fluid comes out, top up again if it needs it then put the cap on and drive with the heater on, you will probably need to top up the level a couple of times more after that but only small amounts.

And be sure to check the coolant level prior to starting the engine for the next three or four mornings. It can often take that long for all of the air to be forced out of the system, allowing the coolant level to finally stabilize where it should be....
