Default coolant question for 3.0 V6

Hi so the other day while I was driving dashboard popped up saying "Low Coolant" so I popped the hood and surprise! what do i see... there was the orange coolant all over the top of the reservoir tank... coolant questiong for 3.0 V6-img_2920.jpgI quickly went back home searched up how to fix this and seems like I know what to do.. well i think i do... i only looked at the faq thread but the problem is where do I order my part? I was wondering if I should order this Auto Parts and Accessories Catalog - Coolant Reservoir

the top OES one. or is it okay to use any of those third party coolant tanks? because I'm afraid this problem might occur again.
Also what should I use to clean the remaining dried up coolant that spilled around my radiator and few down there?
Also is there another option to removing the screw that holds down the tank and replacing it with normal flat head or philip screws? I don't think its worth it to buy the particular tool, if I'm only going to use it once. unless I need it to do the oil change or something.

I'd stick with the Jag tank, any of the others will just look like a bodge up IMHO, it might be worth calling your dealer to check the price, it should come with all the gubbins included.
I assume the screw is a torx, you can buy a small set for tuppence ha'penny and you will find many uses for them on the car.
The coolant should just wash off.

thanks for the reply! I called the dealer before i looked it up online.. they quoted me 179$ for the part. I thought that it was ridiculous, and looks like I will be stopping by walmart or homedepot today for the tools! haha now I just got to order the part and wait a week or so for the parts.

Is saving $50.00 waiting a week or so to have one shipped? On the mainland here the OEM tank is about $110.00~$125.00.

Check with Nalley Jaguar they are a forum sponser and offer free shipping on orders over $75.00. BTW forum members receive 15% discount, don't forget to mention that.
