Crossmember neccesary for suspension replace?
2000 S-type, V8.
Hit a bridge last week with the rear left end of my car, which among other things, dropped the suspension to the ground.
Was quoted for $2,000+ in parts (broken in to: Knuckle, Lower and Upper arm control and link), but was told by a mechanic friend that if I can find a used suspension, that would work just as fine.
Anyways, all of the left rear suspensions I see or ebay are listed as "w/o crossmember", so I'm wondering if maybe the 2000's don't have crossmembers, or if the crossmember would still be in working condition on mine if they do have them.
I've attached pictures of the dropped suspension from underneath the car, but if anyone knows where the crossmember would be, I can take a picture that would highlight that.
Thanks in advance!
