Dash Board Rattle
Hi everyone.
First posting.
Recently bought a 2006 cherished S Type 2.7 diesel with just 54k on the clock.
While it is a Mary Poppins Car " almost perfect in every way" it does have an annoying rattle, more of a buzz coming from deep within the dashboard.
It is quite specific in that it is only happens at 1400rpm and appears to come from deep from within the centre console.
My efforts so far in trying to isolate the source has been to remove the trim from around the J Gate, Display unit and the top trim surrounding the instrument cluster and top air vents.
I now suspect the actual Sat Nav display unit or something behind it.
Further surgery to the interior is now getting a little scary.
My question is, are there going to be any problems, such as reprogramming in removing/disconnecting the Sat Nav Display and CD unit.
