Diagnostic scanner
Hello
I had come up on my instrument cluster gearbox fault
On my wife's 2004 4.2 s type
So I purchased a miti vehicle scanner that they told me would work on jaguar s type
Well it kind of only reads o2 sensors
Not engine or transmission
Could some one please give me some advice on a scanner that can read engine /transmission airbag reset /oil reset /etc
Also could some one please be able to tell me what model zf transmission i have and what transmission fluid to use
Car is a 4.2 v8
6 speed automatic
Thanks
Darrol

I use a OBD link MX. Works good on my 03 4.2L and on my other cars too. It also works w/apps like torque.
I'm pretty sure you have a 6HP26 and if you want to stick to OEM you could use the ZF fluid. I recently flushed my own -> https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...h-tips-215808/
