Tempting providence with that statement - you're almost certain to see the MIL tomorrow.

Follow this link to the thread on code readers and scan tools:

I have just bought this exact scanner (2013 model).

I have just tried it with my XJR-100 and it keeps crashing. It seems to link and find the protocol, but upon selecting ''Read New DTCs'', it hangs, then restarts.

I have contacted the eBay seller I bought it off to see if he can shed any light.

I will let you know the follow up, although your car could be a completely different kettle of poisson...

Default D900 Scanner - not compatible

Today I got around to trying the D900 scanner.
However, selecting 'Live Data' continually brings up this error message.
" Unable to establish a link with the vehicle " (the engine is running)
I replaced the batteries just in case, double-checked the cable etc etc
Should be able to read the live data as specified in the scanner description, but it cannot.

I contacted the Ebay seller who confirmed that it "doesn't work well " with the Jaguar.
Ouch !...So I'm returning it.

Yes, D900 is clearly a no no. One for the black list. Always frustrating when they go to the effort of putting in a token leaper in the software.

I need to return mine as well, unfortunately being in CH, the postage is not a small percentage of the actual unit price. The risk one takes.

I'll have to ask on the sticky if anyone has had experience with the Kiwi wifi unit for iPad on the X308s.

Anywho, live and learn.

The seller suggested an upgrade which apparently will work well with the S-Type..so for better or for worse I am going to try it - in the knowledge I can always return it via buyer-protection.
Return postage is pre-paid for the return of the D900.
Here is the number of the Ebay item which I will try next - 32091136948.
