I have a 2002 jaguar x type 3.0 automatic 170,xxx miles, I just replaced the valve body and used a matco scanner for fluid temp readings, I added 3 quarts total of fluid, I pushed out of shop and drove 1 mile and pulled back into shop. I had reverse, moved it around some more that day, then left it sit. i went to move it today in reverse and it dosent move, any help is appreciated thanks in advance, sorry for the spelling. Reason for replacement of valve body was had gearbox fault and had limp mode, Jag dealer said it was bad solenoid cheaper to get new valve body.

 

Check your level again. Make sure the fill plug is in ALL THE WAY. If you didn't go through all the gears a few times, especially after after a valve body change, I would bet you are low on fluid now, that things have cooled off.....Just my 2 cents.....Mike
