The x-type instructions don't work.

How on god's green earth do you disable the locks from locking when put into D?

You are posting in the S-Type forum and talking about X-Type instructions. Which one do you have? Year and Model would be helpful.

Then if you have an S-Type, drive away locking is only configurable via IDS.
S-Types are so locked down that you cannot even programme remotes without IDS.
