Default DIY Detailing.

I was wondering who does their own Detail work and what products you use?
I use Meguiars almost exclusively and do every thing by hand as I don't trust my self with a machine yet.

I prefer Pinnacle products myself. The best tool I own for detailing is a Porter Cable 7424; it cuts down on time and does a better job than doing all that work by hand. It is nearly impossible to damage your paint with one so the leap to one is a no-brainer if you ask me.

I currently use the spray on detailers like Mequiars Ultimate Quik Detailer and also FW1 Wash & Wax Cleaning Wax. I asked my kids for an electric orbital waxer for my birthday so soon I'll be using "real" wax. I also have some wheel cleaning products (Armor All).

I am CONSTANTLY wiping my car and spray detailing it so it never really gets too dirty.

For anyone that's interested, a pdf with detailed instructions on how to use and get the best results from that type of tool.

OMG this was so helpful, thanks! Especially since I'll be getting an electric waxer soon!
