Default Does S-Type have headrest cable issue?

I just got a 2008 S-Type 4.2 this week and am now sorting out little annoyances. I already have a 2004 XK8 Convertible which I drive daily and have all the normal stuff sorted out. On the 2004 a common problem was the speedo like cable that runs from the motor to the headrest drive needs to have the outside sheath shortened. on the new S-Type I can hear the motors working but the headrests don't move. I have searched the forum and can't find any similar repair for the headrest as you do all over the XK8 forum. Is this a problem on the 2008 model or did Jag sort that out and I should be looking for something else?

New Stable Mate for the XK8 - hate to call the S-Type a winter beater but that is her mission, get me through a Canadian Winter.

I didn't know that motorized headrests were available on S-types. (?)

I'm guessing that is a de-badged STR ?
i thought all r's had the 16way power seats including head rest up and down . mine does but have not had an issue with my head rest . although my drivers head rest is considerably slower the the passengers one . i find it strange that all the seat functions are electric except for the head rest forward and backward adjustment . third world issue i no ! jaguar must have reached the weight limit or price limit at that point .
some were on the forum i have seen a write up on removing the seat back panel on an R seat to service a broken head rest . i guess some searching will be required to find it.
