I have a 2003 3.0 S type. The "hinge" on the drivers side door has broken on the body side (non door). This is probably not technically a door hinge, but is between the hinges and looks to be a door stop. The part that is broken appears to stamped steel and is attached to the body by two torx screws. Anyone have experience with the repair of this problem?

 

Aha! that's a striker, and you need that to hold the door closed. $40 from the dealer and you can replace it yourself.

They didn't list a part number @ my dealer's site but the part looks pretty cheap and fits 00 through 07.
