Help! Front Passenger door lock won't lock manually from inside; seems a physical issue but I know the smart lock system involves both front doors.

No doors stay locked under any circumstances unless I give the fob lock button two quick presses, then the alarm is set and everything is locked except the passenger front. When you open it the alarm goes off as you'd expect.

Is this a door panel pull kinda fix?

 

Yep, sounds like the electronic door actuator. There are DIYs in the "How To " section here, they even have pretty pictures to show you all the tips and tricks to boot.
