Door lock failure and battery drain
This on my newly acquired s-type, car had set in PO garage for a week (no battery drain) on my test drive you could heat the lock as you drove away. First day at home the doors were locking at drive away, 2nd day doors did not lock at drive away and the next day the battery was flat with 1volt.
I have pulled all fuses without success on the battery drain (new battery by the way) still no door lock on drive a way, suspect that the no lock and battery drain may be related,
How can I delete the locks from the electrical system as far as wanting to lock on drive away or where to look for fault?

I suspect your S-type thinks the doors are already locked and this would possibly also explain the quiescent battery drain. The best way to begin non-invasive trouble shooting is with a code reader that will pick up and interpret chassis/body error codes; an example would the the iCarsoft i930, or LR-(ii 0r) 2.0 .
