Hello all,

Someone tried to break into my car. As a result, that little black strip, on the outside of the window was bent back. I want to purchase online a replacement part to have it installed, but I have 1) no idea what it is called or 2) the appropriate part number to find it online to order. I have a 2003 Jaguar S-type.

 

Hard to say but I am sure it's in the JEPC. This is the factory parts manual and has a lot of exploded diagrams to help figure out which part you need.

The good thing is it's free on this site.

Well worth the time to download and install it. It is at the top of the forum in the stickies.

I am also looking to change the same part due to rust. I was not impressed with the chrome replacement part, preferring the original black. However, it might suit you so hence the link.

If you do replace this part please post your work perhaps with a photo if at all possible. It would be beneficial to me and maybe others on the forum.

Thanks. This is a starting point to start my search. I actually prefer to have the black which I have now. But, at the very least I start searching Door Pillars.
