Default Driver's side window demister vent rattle

Hi all,

I've traced a really annoying rattle to the vent on top of the dashboard which provides demisting air to the driver's side window.

I've seen a lot of threads regarding the front windscreen demister vent but can't see anything about the side window demister.

It appears that the grille could be popped out quite easily but before I have a go with a trim tool I was wondering if anybody could let me know the correct way to extract it without damage.

Thank you

Are you sure that is where the rattle is coming from?

I have had a lot of the dash board apart and have never removed that part and it's never been brought up as a rattle point? Does it move with your hand? It snaps in pretty tight.

Yes, I'm sure. It doesn't appear to move significantly but the rattle stops immediately I apply light finger pressure on the grille.

Problem solved

A smidgeon of blu tac under the lip of the demister grille and the noise has vanished.
