Not too bad just hitting the school work hard so I can get done and pick up another Jag. Here is my dyno from my fun bike with a video of the pulls. Only mods on this bike is a K&N filter, Barker's exhaust, and a Race ECU. It sounds awesome and yes those are fireballs coming out of the exhaust. Got to love motorcycles. You guys keep on modding so I know what to get when I get back into the Jag game. This is also the reason I got rid of my STR was to get this bike.

Hey guys, I updated my first post with dyno results from the installation of the 1.5/1.7 Mina Pulley. I suspect that the cooler temperature had a lot to do with the performance gain...

So give us the full review goblue90. It appears you got 15rwhp/20rwtq with this upgrade, not bad and from what I can tell there is no loss of top end power. Still not sure why that other member got something like 70rwtq and you didn't. How much was the install price and was it a challenge for your shop to install if you don't mind me asking? When are you going to the track?

I'm not sure either why QuartzStypeR saw a huge increase in torque and I didn't... perhaps it's elevation or the dyno itself (dyno jet vs dyno dynamics). It's not going to be an apples to apples comparison if you're not using the same Dyno.

The shop did a great job with the install but underestimated how long it would take. They ended up cutting off the old pulley and were being extra careful. I think if another R pulled into the garage next week wanting the same pulley installed, they'd most likely charge more. I hope to go to the track soon!

I'm bumping this up, cause it's even more relevant to me now

goblue, check out my thread here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-my-xjr-96325/

I see the vid with your bonnet up on the dyno, mine actually gained another 20HP with the engine cover on and the bonnet closed!

Interesting that both our cars hit the 340HP mark at about the same revs, but mine flattened out & yours just kept on climbing...must be the exhaust?

Hey Cambo,

Interesting observation about the bonnet position. I'm due for another dyno session to measure the impact of the Mina intake, but i don't think having the bonnet closed will help. I like to drive around with a scangauge plugged into the OBD port, and here's what I saw the other day in stop and go traffic here in the DC area (outside temp was ~ 80 degrees F):

I don't recall the intake temp (top left) ever getting that high with the stock intake. Anyway, I'll post my results to this thread, so stay tuned...

George

Try it both ways & see?

The engine cover makes quite a difference too. 34by151 in the X350 subforum did some measurements of the charge cooler temperatures with & without the engine cover driving around, temps were lower with the engine cover on.
