Default eccentric cams

I have been told by my local tyre "experts" that I need eccentric cams to complete the adjustment of the camber and the castor on my S-Type.

Alas I have no idea what they are talking about nor can I find anything relating to them in regards to alignment.

Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Thanks.

Mark

I prefer them, but not needed in all cases. it really dpends on where your alignment is in regards to caster and camber. if you have a camber push you need em to adjust properly. but just cause you dont have them doesnt meen you need them. trouble is that without an alignment you dont know for sure. and if you do then they need to be installed them realigned.

Thanks Brutal,
Now do I have to buy these from the dealer? Do they stay on the car? Does the alignment shop have them already?
So many questions, sorry for my ignorance on this one.

they stay on the car, you install 4, 2 per side in the lower control arms. you have to drop the steering rack to install and remove the factory ones. You can get them at the dealer, but theyre expensive like $80/each give or take. You can try Motorcars or other suppliers. I believe the factory starrted to install them in 02's I dont know for sure, and the suspension was changed in 03. So if you a salvage yard type of person, thats another choice

Thanks Brutal. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. One last question, do you have a part number please? I still cannot seem to locate them.
