Name's Darius Vargas, and i have posed a thread about a 2.5 to 3.0 engine swap. Reason: cheap good AJ30 engine, and overheated the Aj25.
Everything worked out well besides 2 minor issues, that might be another thread's subject.

both cars (mine and the donator) are 2003 with ZF6hp26 models (with some slight extra options differences) (ECU codes are very simmilar. i can post a side by side picture if their codes isnt private info?)

Now i've ran the car home with the 2.5 ecu and 3.0 engine, but i want to install the 3.0 ecu and pair it to the car so i can keep my key and electronics & so i dont have to change the cluster, ignition, door module, key, door&trunk latch etc.
All this information for a simple question: Can anyone please tell me the procedure to pair the new ECU to the rest of the car and reset my ZF parameters?
Can i use a JLR mongoose?

program as new module in IDS/SDD follow the steps as prompted. it will copy the original VID into the donor

cheap mongoose will be risky

 

oh ok, so it would be a rather fast forward procedure if i have de ids ssd.

UPDATE
complete success:

i am running the 3.0 ECU from the donator car, with my original clusters, alarm module and keys.

i had someone reprogram its immobilizer for me.

its better than trying to remap the 2.5 one
especially if you have an automatic transmission.
