Default EGR tube and gaskets

It turns out the CEL w/"Restricted Performance" is due to a pre-cat exhaust leak eminating from a leaking EGR exhaust tube. She needs a new: EGR exhaust tube plus gaskets, EGR plus gaskets, and exhaust manifold gasket. Are these parts interchangeable with the 03 Lincoln LS? Sure could use some help here prior to "Bending over to take it up the butt" with Jag part prices.

Ordered new EGR tube ($120) plus gaskets ($14) from an online Jaguar Parts vender. Then off with the cabin air filter box....

No one answered but you are correct. The Lincoln LS has a different EGR set-up. This was brought to light when the LS/S Type stainless headers were floating around.

Thanks a bunch clubairth. Kinda disappointed with the shop I gave nearly $8000 in the course of three years for install and repair of my cars. I told them that the standard repair of the EGR is via removal of the cabin air filter, but they insist the exhaust and manifold should be dropped ($$$'s). So I'm taking her to the Jag guy who understands the swap.

I re-read your post and I was incomplete in my answer. I "think" the exhaust manifold gaskets are the same as the LS. I know the heads are the same between the reg 4.2 and the SC 4.2.

Here is a STR manifold and a Lincoln LS manifold. They look real close to me?? The Jag has two ports connected on the flange where the LS has 4 individual flanges.

The LS manifold;

The STR Manifold;

Though the STR has the ports connected on the flange, looks like the bolt pattern remains identical. Wonder if there is casting slag or other restrictive ridges? Thanks otherwise clubairth.

Yes we know the bolt pattern is the same just not completely sure about the gasket. It should be OK but I hate to have people buy parts when it has not been done before!

I believe I read that the exhaust manifold gaskets are identical too.
