my 2001 jaguar 4.0 L will crank but have no response when the gas paddle is pressed. gives code P-1586. Help.

 

How many kilometres/miles are on the vehicle?

What is the battery voltage across the terminals when measured with a voltmeter?

What is the fuel pressure with the ignition in the ON position prior to engaging the starter motor?

 

On my 03 I've had three relays go bad. And the last one had me 100% convinced it was a fuel supply problem because it acted exactly like I had no / low fuel pressure. And even measuring FP on the rail.. my pressure was all over the place.

In the end... it was in fact a relay.
