Default EZ lip on Jaguar STR. What do you guys think?

I purchased this car originally from Chicago a year ago and the previous owner scratched lower parts of the front bumper cover. So I tried to cover that up and had EZ lip installed few months ago. So far so good. Went through few car washes. There is no flopping at high speeds and I think it gives this car a little more sportier look. Oh, and I also got Mina 1.7 pulley upgrade which is also a lot of fun.

It def gives the front end a sporty look. Nice Red Caps on the wheels, goes well with red brembos.

Nice add on. If we had an STR I would definetly have one. Hell I might just add it anyways.

Thanks for sharing.

Adhesive fit? I think not.

But I'd sure like to to have a quality bolt/screw on version. The repairs to fix the front cover when it gets cracked or torn is not cheap. A sacrificial piece is a great idea.

Eh, I think the high strength adhesive can work well here. Much like many spoilers are stick on.

The lip came with 3M adhesive tape on one side which is actually enough to hold it in place. But I also used 7 stainless steel screws to make sure that it would stay secure. Painted them flat black so it wouldn't be noticeable when looking underneath. Overkill possibly, but I didn't want to take any chances.

Default Just playing devil's advocate here

I did see this from another very similar kit.

Untitled Document

If it's that flexible I have to wonder if the ends where it terminates at the wheel well opening aren't going to just sag or go out of shape?

It seems to do just that in that photo with the green wheel.

I would also be concerned about this lip becoming a dirt & grime trap on any car that rides as low to the ground as the S-Type typically does....

It's the parking block stops that I want it to catch & warn me about.

I wonder what an actual splitter style lip would look like on there?

Don't get me wrong guys, I love to have a carbon fiber lip on my jag. But due to unavailability, price, and chance of breaking and scratching it, I just have to do with this version. This lip is made of flexible, rubber like material, so when hitting parking blocks its just bounces back without any damage. In the worst case, I'll just replace it again next year. Its just $30 bucks.

For $30 it's hard to go wrong with it. It looks good though.

Also, 03Jagg I have to say it again. Your STR is among the nicest color schemes out there. I love the muted silver/black look with just a touch of red.

That looks great!! I was just going to do that! Thanks for doing it first LOL. I need to know where you got your rotors and what pads your running. Do you notice a difference? Have you found a two piece rotor or do you have any suggestion for break set up other than what you have. My stock brembo's are warped and make a tone of dust.
