The problem is you cant modify anything other then exhaust if you have Jag warranty (confirm by dealer)

I was thinking of puttin in a mod Chip and a pully, but my dealer told me it will void the warranty. So now I am looking for a nice exhausts to go with (Anyone know someone in Houston area )

look who showed up! Jaguarnaut you have the EXACT type r that i want. Are those the 19's? can you please post a big thread of vids and pics to entice me a little more to jump on the S-type line....i am looking at one that seems like a steal, but i cant jump on it now b/c i have a deployment comming up in a few months (not to mention the x-type to get rid of). But yea, its an 05 with 34k miles, black with black interior (silverish inserts) and aluminum dash trim. its the sexiest thing i ever saw. PICS BUDDY PICS!!!

Love these things! 13.3X is a very respectable time. Work on your launch, that 60' time sounds pretty crappy.

BTW, always do chip last. Do all your bolt-ons first, then get it tuned, otherwise you'll end up spending more getting the chip re-flashed if you decide to add something later on.

Can't believe you can't put a pulley on that thing...you sure they'd even know? I'd just be like you guys are the only one's that have ever worked on my car!
Hey somekid how much they want for that 05? There was one by me for like 36k from a dealer with 16k miles and fully loaded meaning navi and stuff...that was a high price but not from the dealer and mileage...talk to the benztojag guy that posted about jags so cheap...or contact texascarsdirect they have some great prices on the stype r's...

A nice flowmaster would sound sweet on that...perhaps terminator-ISH (03 cobra)
Dont' think flowmaster makes a muffler though!

Does anyone know of a company here in the states that works on the Jags ECU? The only one that comes to mind is Arden and they are located across the pond and they charge an arm and a leg. Can you get a boost controller for a S/C set up?

I know that the Land Rover Sport uses the same engine I wonder if anyone in the states offers any type of upgrades? That might be a good place to start?

Haven't heard of anyone doing headers. A fellow moderator on here got some for his x-type but those were custom made by tokay a guy on here.

Welcome 526...just keep in mind if you are still under warranty through the dealer a pulley will void manufacturers warranty...

Why would they do that? Is that even legal? It sounds like BS to me. http://www.pt-tuning.com/policies/Magn-Moss-Act.html

That's good and all momo but putting a pulley on a supercharged motor changes the setup that the manufacturer has set up. They tuned that car with direct intention of a certain amount of boost or psi for the supercharger with the particular pulley on there. If you'd like to get technical with a jag dealer I guess you could but would it honestly be worth it? An aftermarket exhaust is allowed from what I've heard as it isn't changing the operation of the engine but adding a pulley is putting more boost to your engine. You don't think they could say "you sent more power through the car than was originally engineered to go through the car and thus the powertrain and driveshaft broke! Thus it is your fault and its not covered!" I could easily see this being said from someone from jag...don't take my word for it as I'd put one on the car if I had one! Just puttin it out there so people think twice because in my opinion an exhaust or intake would be a different story...although they could say dirt got into your intake and caused the pistons to put scrapes in the walls and it was your intakes fault...so I guess I'd just change it back before going to the dealer!

Pretty simple...I'd do that too.
