I purchased a 03' S type three weeks ago and had numerous problems from the start. Luckily the guys I bought it from said they would fix what needed to be done. So the mechanic has had it for two weeks. He was moving shops, waiting for a new lift and air compressor to come in, a new partner to start (certified Jag. mechanic ) and for all the parts to come in. So far all is good.

Problems and fixes

1. the car was over heating> thermostat.
2. Lurching, trans. fluid leak and reving rpms> trans service and new trans seals, etc.
3. leaking oil> rear main seal replaced
4. passenger seat not moving>seat motor and electrical button assembly

I can't imagine what the bill will be on this but I'm glad the guys I bought it from stood behind what they said and got it fixed. Hope she keeps running like she is.
