Was looking for a fun sedan. Had always lusted after a Jag. At my wife's suggestion, I browsed S Type Rs and found the perfect car - 2004 STR with 18,000 (yes, 18,000 - no typo) miles. White with tan interior, absolutely perfect. All three keys, all the manuals and even the original window sticker. And an extended warranty through 60k or 12/31/2013! Oh, and it was about three miles from my home. It was posted on a Saturday night and I bought it Sunday. I guess it was just meant to be.

The only problem so far is keeping my son out of the drivers seat when I leave town - he's bad for mileage, but it makes us both smile. He did have it thoroughly cleaned before I got back, so seems like a fair deal.

Ideas for performance mods that won't void the warranty?

 

just got mine about a month ago just opened her up on the highway the car is a beast i was going 115 it felt like 60mph i had a couple bumps in the road when i first got her but now that she's all tuned up I'm loving it. hope you enjoy

Congrats OPSTAR! She sounds like a beauty. I am some others here have modded our STR's and will share our info. with you. Search with the forum search feature, keywording in modification topics i.e. exhaust mod, etc. You can begin your first power mod by removing the electrical solenoid operated baffle on the lower portion of the air intake box. It's undoing one screw and wa-la! Place in a K&N drop-in air filter. Compliment this with a "Mafioso" air intake elbow that you can order right here on this forum. Install a....
