Default Flashing Climate Control Panel

Today after about an hour drive my Climate Control Panel started flashing. The Climate Control Panel was replaced a few years ago and has the JaguarClimateControl upgrade. The control panel seems to work fine except for the flashing. Any thoughts as to what could be happening? I'm going to hook up a code reader tomorrow and see if it is throwing any codes but I doubt that a non Jaguar specific code reader will show anything. I'm also going to test the battery and probably disconnect and do the reset.

Any other thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My control panel was flashing for a bit yesterday. Then was Ok a short time later.

I will check for codes...if my latest greatest scanner will read them ! We'll know soon.

There are various threads on this flashing problem but I could not find any that identified the specific fault or fix.

I'm tempted to buy a spare (used) control panel. There are plenty out there and they're not very expensive. Mine is non-navigation and non-heated screen. Vendor listings imply that 2003-2008 are the same and/or will interchange. JDHT listings are not so simple. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks
DD

Doug there are same looking but not same model number non touch screen climate control units. If you are thinking of picking up an extra be sure numbers match. Jon89 and I found out the differences the hard way 😉

I'm glad I asked.

Did really horrible things happen? Or just operational weirdness? Just wondering.

I'll get the number off my existing control module and search for an exact match.

Cheers
