...I have the Canon HF S10( just a tip, get a UV filter on it, and it will make a huge difference in the clarity and colors) and yes canon makes one of the best HD cams out so far. The vid you made reminded me of one of those Top Gear clips; veryyyy nicely done!

 

Awesome sound! Although as mentioned earlier, you now need a new exhaust system. The only other sound that is as intimidating as blower whine, is a late 60's Hemi. When one of those opened up, you could almost see the air getting sucked into the carbs.

Our '01 has a p0420 and I pretty much have it narrowed down to the bank 1 catalytic converter, so that is my excuse to get some hi-flow cats. So it is going to be my test pig to see how good the local muffler shop is. Just need to figure out the best location of the O2 sensors and if you can drill a bung into the hi-flow cats, or is it best to put the sensors before and after the cats in the pipe.

On the STR I am going to leave the pipes at 2.25" with the new dynomax VT muffler so I am debating about leaving the stock resonators. What is everyones thought on the stock resonators? Are they very restrictive or flow through?

 

You should get the Mina exhaust. It really sounds like a Jag should...but if you cant, def leave the rsonators on. It sounds way too raspy without them.

It will definately have resonators, just unsure if I want to leave the stock ones or go with glasspacks. Also planning on the hi flow cats with an X pipe. I know the X pipe helps balance the pressure but what other benefits and how does it effect the sound?

...be very careful about using the dynomax Vt mufflers, read a lot of negative reviews concerning the defective springs inside them to open and close the flap inside(there was a knock noise coming to my understanding). Many people had to do trial an errors to get the right one without the defect. Look it up on google and there's tons of stuff on this forum regarding exhaust systems especially Magnaflows etc.....

I read a lot of those reviews also. Supposably they have fixed this problem, but like you said it is still a chance if you buy from someone and they still have old stock. Not sure how to avoid this.

As far as the Magnaflows I like them but have read a lot about the drone they have in the 2000 to 3000 RPM range. I would also like to keep as much of that "sleeper" effect as possible when not in the throttle. The Dynomax VT seems to have the best of both worlds. Quiet at low throttle but nice and throaty along with the intake when you open up the throttle.
