you all know that clip that holds the lid down. small but annoying. expecially when it brakes. arrgh.

cheap enough to buy.... but after reading on here ..... its gonna be a pig to replace... centre trim off.. 2 screws... you name it.

oh well.. cant wait to show you all photos when I buy this clip and replace it... sneaky look under the trim whilst I am there ..... good time to inspect things.

 

Bummer! I know it can be a pain on my 03. Try to keep your patience, and be delicate! If you must pry, use soft pry tools, I bought a little kit from Eastwood that has come in handy quite a few times. Hopefully everything pops off by hand though. I'm sure there will be some gunk surprises for you around the edge of the trim.

but thats just another job to do.. however its top on my list because its soo annoying and in my view/ sight.

 

It would drive me nuts too. From my seating position, which is almost in the back seat, the bare ashtray light bulb is visible with the ashtray open. No way could I stand driving like that very long!
