The pin thing that opens and keeps the fuel door shut broke on me today. I can't seem to find a part number using keywords.

Would anyone happen to know the part number for the mechanism? I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks

Sorry I don't have just the plastic pin part number for you, but when you do replace it, be sure to keep it slathered in lithium white grease at all times. That's the secret to making these lousy plastic pins last. I grease mine at least every three or four months. My car's entire fuel filler door latch assembly had been replaced twice under warranty before we purchased it in December 2008. No issues with this plastic pin since I began keeping it covered in grease sometime back in 2009 after reading about all the pin failures here....

 

The part number for the lock actuator is XR852060. As always, when ordering parts from Jaguar, provide the VIN as quite often the number has been changed or superseded.
