Good job! I wonder ifaybe the switched out the trim pieces in the hopes of getting a heated windshield but gave up when it didnt work because of the missing wire???? I have no idea!(obviously)

my car doesnt have the switch and I think my windshield was replaced with an aftermarket one. I cant see anything which looks like heater lines in the wiper park position so that why I think it was swapped. Plus the cost of a heated park windshield is much higher than one without. I think it was $800 vs $200.

but im curious how did you manage to get the fuse Block top to turn all the way upside down to expose the wires and the connector terminals? I had to do a repair on my fuse block because one of the connector terminals had pushed in the box and wasn’t making contact with a relay so I attempted to unclip the box top and turn it over but I had no room to maneuver it because of the heavy duty cables that are coming in from the front and the side. Did you have to disconnect the cables coming in this side in order to get it to flip over? It looked like such a big job at that point I just kind of Jimmied it. Those harnesses are just so damn stiff.

edit: I just looked at your picture again and noticed that maybe you don’t have a big Honkin cable coming in from the side. My car is a 2006 and there’s a big harness going into the fuse block right behind the ABS module under that metal bracket with the stud on it that runs in front of the shock tower back to the ECM area. That harness along with the harness that’s coming in from the front of the car behind the headlight Makes it impossible to turn over the top

Thanks for the positive response!!
so as for the fuse box turning. Mine has the black plastic casing that goes over the front frame and the wires are in that. If you pop the clips along the side the top comes up and you can man handle it a bit to get it too flip up. So I didn't undo any wires at all I just flipped it over with a bit of force making sure I was careful. So also I noticed if you have the heated wiper park then you can switch windscreens and get it to work you'll just need to run the 1 wire like I did and install a fuse and relay like I did. Now as for the button I don't know. Does the heated park version have a button for it on the climate panel? if so it should work as all it does is activate the relays to send the power. So u could if you had access to a heated windscreen. I did a quote on one to see what they cost and it was over 2000 dollars through safelight lol I about flipped.

I
Glade I got it working before winter lol I won't drive it much in the winter as it's prolly not the best in ice and I have a little crv with 4x4 that is actually pretty freaking tough in snow and ice and mud. Well small mud any way.

If you wanna tackle anything let me know I figured out the wirring in the nice book that's in the link up about. That was a huge help!

Wow. $2000 for a windshield is NUTS!!

as for the fuse box, the later models have that same plastic cased harness behind the headlight but theres another harness that comes out the left side (left as u sit in the car) near the bottom thats about 2” in diameter and it is very stiff and trapped under that black bracket with the threaded stud facing up shown in you pic behind the antilock brake unit. Youd have to disconnect the other end of hat harness whuch goes back along the shock tower to the pcm area and has like 3 or 4 connectors squeezed up in that right side firewall area. And even then youd need take that bracket off because it doesnt allow any space to lift up that fuse block top
