gear box fault
Evening all, i recently had a problem with my jaguar, the water tank cracked, so i replaced this, after replacing this(as a little bit of water came out of the bottom pipe) the gear box fault light came on, i had this checked out by a garage and recommended replacing gearbox, to which i had done, with one that came out of a 78K jag s type, which has not got ride of the fault, ive had them whiped, but as soon as i start up the car it comes strieght back, as i said ive already replaced the gear box and i know this was working fine before i had it installed, it just strikes me as weird as it only came up AFTER i changed the coolant tank. is there anything below this that anyone knows of that could affect the electrics to the gearbox or something as i am baffled and cant afford the garage to keep the car for a few days to search for the problem?
any help would be appreicated, the car is a jaguar s type 1999 3.0 auto
