I have a Jaguar 2000 S-type, broke the gear stick, replaced the part that comes in metal instead of plastic now I have to replace the whole gear shift lever assembly part XR817754, its out of stock they have a new company that will start making them again but will not be ready until mid year, where else can I get this part from?

 

I would check EBay for a used part??

I have tried that already and nothing. I think that the next step is going to junk yards and looking myself.

I just looked on EBay and there are at least 5 or 6 cars being parted out that should have the shifter you need. Don't look for a shifter. Just type in "2000 Jaguar S Type" sort by price. You will see a number of cars being parted. I don't think you will have any problem finding one.
