Goodbye old S Type.
After a dozen years the old girl is just not worth the effort to fix, after waiting all winter to get into a garage to rummage around the rear end to fix the parking brake, I was greeted by rusted out sway bar links and a stuck solid parking lever arm. The effect on the disc rotor is horrible. What with the time and cost of parts to fix her, my old girl is on the way to the donation system. Going to let some junior mechanics have their way with her and maybe if they fix her up, she'll have a new lease of life. If they take her, then the techs at SAIT will have some fun.
It's a bit like a real choker.

Hi Steve, the local tech college SAIT have agreed to take her off my hands, which will probably happen after the Easter break. Hopefully they will have fun working on her. I still have my newer XJL which is not so easy to use and has no trunk pass through like the S type. Although the V6 is not as pokey as your V8 Ive had years of fun with my old workhorse, and she still turns lots of heads when the weather permits me to get her all shiny. (i will have to update my signature now to show the 2005 as deceased soon
