Got Codes...Indy Is Telling Me This......
So I had my car in the shop for a few days and my Indy said the codes were pointing to the fuel injectors, he cleaned the two which tested the lowest and a few days later the codes came back...P1000, P0171 and P0174...they all do have to due with either injector or rich/lean fuel ratios...
Just wanted to see if anyone has had this pop up, the car drives fine until I really put the hammer down then the engine will jerk, so it seems like the fuel is getting cut out...also have a rich burn smell upon start up after the car sits in the garage overnight...
Thoughts?
TIA...

The best advice is to search for those error codes. We just had a long discussion about both of these and they can be caused by several different things. So it may take several tries to get it fixed.

Pay particular attention to Bulletin S303-21. Fuel trims are the key. Anything, I mean anything that goes awry on an engine, shows up first in the fuel trims. If all is well the trims hover around 0%. Trims plus or minus 4-5% are acceptable, more than that and there is a problem to be found. The P0171 and P0174 generally don't set until they go beyond 10-12% positive.
I think the Mass Air Flow Sensor could be suspect here.
Good luck!

This might help http://www.gusglikas.com/images/Auto...otos/P0171.pdf also make sure the air cleaner box is sealed and the MAF sensor is clean. You can use CRC MAFS cleaner to clean it. Ignore the P1000 it means that diagnostic test has not been completed. http://www.gusglikas.com/images/Auto...tos/P20003.PDF Hope this helps!
on the R the big air leakers are the "ducts" between the blower hat and the intercoolers. you can watch short term fuel trims and spray these areas and watch them. We replace alot for this, and based on knowledge of the car and repatative issues this is what is the differance in diag paths taken. after you go over the air intake system completely, then yes Ide look at the mafs, but not till then
