GPS CD not recognized

The reader could either be dead, or just dirty pickup head. In the boot (trunk) look for the navigation unit, eject the CD and blast a little compressed air in there. Check the disc for damage, and reinsert. Listen for the spinning of the unit...if it spins right up like a computer hard drive, it should be good. Mine is sputtering and barely spinning. Report back instantly!

Hey, I know, stupid question again but uh, the big silver thing on the side must be the CD unit, in the trunk and side mounted under a black cover, but I'll be danged if I can figure out who to eject the disk. I guess I'll dig up the manual, but if anyone happens to know much about these, I'd sure appreciate any insight the manual might not tell me. I'm also guessing that these units were never turn-by-turn voice direction units, is that right?

Turn by turn, yes. My car came with a separate navigation manual, perhaps yours was not included?
