Default Handbrake gaiter

Hi all. Merry Xmas.

My handbrake gaiter moves. Where you push the button to move handbrake up or down the vinyl or whatever material it is will actually slide off of the handbrake. So what is suppose to hold it on? I haven't taken it apart but can see anything missing at a quick glance?

Thanks

Darren.

There is a pop in snap that keeps it snug on the older models.

i have seen the pop in snap which is on the actual gaiter, but the piece which you pull up on moves back and forward surley something should keep this in place?
