Please search other threads, this has been addressed many times..

The size sounds right from what I can remember. May want to move to a 255 though..

Check on tirerack.com they have an accurate fitment guide as well.

Default Oh I spent some time searching. Seems like many offerings are in an 8.5" width

I saw STR ran a 245/35/19 in the front but with a wider wheel.

I'm actually concerned 245 will be too wide for 8" wheel. Tirerack recommended range is 8-9.5 for 245. Want to make sure this setup doesn't "bulge" however on the wheel.

Default That's what I was afraid of. 235/35 won't be too far off diameter?

I noticed because stock 235/50/17 and other factory Jaguar options were 245/40/18 and 245/35/19.

Using the miata tire size gizmo 235/35/19 is 3% off the 17" stock. But it's only 0.9% off from an 18" package.

will be too wide. will probably fit on the rim with a little finess. First pothole you hit wrong, you will be putting on the spare

I put a 235 on my 8.5" rim, wanted to do 245, but the pros strongly disagreed with doing that.
